Splitting The Stones are a big sounding 3/5 piece band based in Cork City, Ireland, who fuse contemporary and traditional music, all with their own signature twist. The band are known for their high energy live shows and the eclectic mix of music featured in their sets.

Since their formation in 2019, Splitting The Stones have become a mainstay in venues and festivals around Ireland and beyond. The group’s unique sound, made up guitar, drums and accordion is what originally made them stand out, as they put their own spin on well known contemporary songs, which they fused together with their own arrangements of traditional tunes.
Splitting The Stones is made up of Mick Grace (Vocals/Guitar), Paul O’Shea (Drums/Vocals) and Liam O’Keeffe (Accordion/Vocals). On occasion, the band expands to a 5 piece, adding Peter Vogelaar (Bass) and Fionn Morrison (Flute/Whistle/Uilleann Pipes).
As well as making a name for themselves at home in Ireland, TIW have set their sites on bringing their energetic live show abroad, and in the past year alone, have played shows in the UK, Norway and Sweden.
